Firm Practising Licence Renewed for the New Term

Shahrara Asar's practising licence as a legal entity has been renewed for the new term, with the firm's annual design capacity confirmed. Architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical drawings continue to be produced and sealed under one roof.

A practising licence for a legal entity is the authorisation issued by the Construction Engineering Organisation to engineering firms, defining the disciplines a firm may cover and its annual workload capacity. Renewal requires a review of completed project records, verification that qualified engineers are in place for each discipline, and a check on obligations from the previous term.

Shahrara Asar has worked in building design and supervision since 1995. Over that period, municipal case handling, design and supervision of residential and commercial projects across eastern Tehran have made up the core of the practice. Renewal for the new term keeps that formal framework in place.

For owners, the significance lies elsewhere. When all four disciplines are produced in one office, coordination happens before the drawings reach the municipality: ducts do not collide with beams, the electrical panel location matches the architectural plan, and openings are consistent with the structural calculations. When the work is split across separate offices, that coordination usually happens on site, at the owner's expense.

Alongside the renewal, we revised our internal drawing review procedure. Every drawing package now passes a four-discipline cross-check list before it is issued, and the result is filed with the project record. The aim is to cut the number of corrective instructions needed during construction.
